Spelling Bee Contest

The Sun English Club

Time: 7:30 AM, December, 23^rd 2012

Venue: Room 601, Open University, 97 Vo Van Tan, District 3.

RULES

1) Round 1: Spelling Audition

a) Candidates will listen to 5 different words.

b) With each word, candidates have 10 second to fill in the answer sheet.

c) No repetition of the words

d) Candidates with the top score will get into Round 2

2) Round 2: Spelling – Off

a) A group of 10 candidates will take turn to come on stage at a time.

b) Each of them will have to spell two words

c) Candidates can ask for the meaning of the word and one time repetition.

d) Candidates with the top score with get into round 3

3) Round 3: Spelling Battle

a) The remained candidates will go onstage again

b) Each of them will spell one word

c) Candidates who spell wrong will be out of the competition right away (When all candidates finish spelling)

d) Each of candidates who leave the contest at round 3 will receive a small gift.

e) The remained candidates continue the game until the three winners are called.

PRIZES

1^st prize: 1 Oxford dictionary, 3 English CDs from AMA, 2 years using Lac Viet Dictionary, 1 grammar in use book and 1 note book
2^nd prize: 1 Cambridge Dictionary, 2 years using Lac Viet Dictionary, 1 note book
3^rd prize: 1 Macmillan Dictionary ,1 grammar in use book
