On 28th August 2015, 15 students from HCMC Open University joined 58th Malaysia Independence's Day ceremony celebrated at the Friendship House, co-organized by the HCMC Union of Friendship Organizations (HUFO) and the HCMC Vietnam – Malaysia Friendship Association (HCMC VMFA).
