On March 10^th 2016, Professor Nguyen Van Phuc, rector of HCMC Open University together with heads of deparments which are Graduate school, School of distance learning, Office of cooperation and research management and department of research and development for distance education had a meeting with guests from Finland to discuss about enhancing distance learning.

The guests from Finland include representatives from Hame applied university, companies which are specialized in consulting and providing short courses with distance learning methods such as Cimson international, Claned group and Rusol Finland.

At the end of the meeting, delegates of HCMC Open University and the guests had specific plans to cooperate regarding distance learning developing in the near future.
