On November 25th 2015, representatives of Ho Chi Minh City Open University including Dr Hua Van Duc, director of School of Distance Education and Dr Nguyen Quang Trung, deputy director of Department of Research and Development for Distance Education had a meeting with distinguished guests from Open University of Kaohsiung (OUK). The leader of OUK representatives was Dr I-Chan Kao, Dean of Academic Affairs. During the meeting, representatives from two universities introduced about each school, discussed and exchanged experience regarding distance education. Furthermore, in this meeting, many opportunities for cooperation in the near future were suggested.

At the end of the meeting, representatives from each university gave each other gifts as memories for the meeting of two schools.
